If one was tasked to choose a word which summed up Bora Aksu’s SS13 collection it would quite simply be ‘pleasing’. A cacophony of chiffon and organza in all shades of blue, from the merest hint to the ultraviolet, the result was a collection of feminine, edgy and flattering garments which are sure to be topping buyer’s lists for this season.

As always, the beauty is in the detail. With a rumoured three hairstylists per model and hours spent on hair and make-up, Aksu is certainly not one to skimp and it certainly paid off. Large, crown-topped nests of hair were the perfect complement to the short hemlines of Aksu’s dresses telling girls everywhere it was time to start growing their manes and saving their pennies.
