Please tell us about your White Project.

My idea for the White Project revolved around the theme of lovers. Lovers, not only in a sexual sense, but the moments between them — whether it’s when a couple lives together; a cheeky smile; a movement, or tone of voice. I focused on the shape of clothing when women undress. I managed to see clothing in a way that I had never thought of before — dresses, overcoats, trousers all changed…

When others look at it, they would think of…

A flower, but it is actually constructed from a lot of different collars.

If a great internship required you to bleach your eyebrows, would you do it?

If I were to be offered a great internship, I would work very hard and improve my technical skills. I want to highlight that appearance is not an important issue for designers. It really does not matter if they have white eyebrows or if their skin is white or dark.

What was the hardest thing about working all in white?

In the beginning, I struggled to construct the ‘flower’. It was super thick and I could only stitch it by hand, which took a lot of time…

My life would be complete if…

I had more patience.
