When in Paris: Visit the Tripolar pop-up, showcasing Ukrainian Art

Ukrainian artists and designers showcase their work in Paris until the 17th of May

Since the 24th of February, the industry is trying to find ways to help Ukrainian artists and designers in any way it can. With the support of Fashion Girls for Humanity, the up and coming Charlotte Chesnais store turned into a Ukrainian Art and Design hub to showcase artists such as Anna October, Gunia, Nadiia and more.

Exploring Ukrainian traditional cultures, Tripolar hosts modern designers and artists that apply folkloric traits to their practice. The set design is inspired by Sergei Paradzhanov’s iconic Kyiv Frescoes, executed by AVOIR Agency and the pop-up’s attic is dedicated to fashion, hosting dresses made out of upcycled tablecloths by POUSTOVIT, woven caftans by BENZA and Anna October’s trademark sundresses. A curation of Ukrainian artefacts further emerges the visitor into the Ukrainian universe; embroidered bedsheets by VITA KIN, artisanal ceramics by NADIIA WORLD and glazed pottery by GUNIA PROJECT, scented wax candles by MEDOVI SVICHKI and graphic rugs by Oksana Levchenya.

Showcase activations are one practical way to support the artists that need it the most at the moment, so if you happen to be in the city of light, head to 169 Boulevard Saint-Germain to celebrate Ukrainian culture and buy some paintings, sculptures, rugs, or fashion!

For the ones who won’t be able to attend, browse through the beautiful images from the space and make sure you check the artists involved.
